''The Flame'' is the fifth album by Spanish rock band Dover, which was released on 27 October 2003. It was recorded in PKO Studios in Madrid with producer Rick Will and mastered by Stephen Marcussen (Marcussen Mastering, New York City). The album sold 60,000 copies in Spain and approximately 50,000 copies in Germany. On 5 June 2004, the band played the music festival Rock am Ring The (German language, German for "Rock at the Ring") and ("Rock in the Park") festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually in Germany. Dover (band)
Dover was a Spanish rock band founded in Madrid in 1992. The group was composed of the sisters and group leaders Cristina Llanos (musician), Cristina Llanos (vocals) and Amparo Llanos (musician), Amparo Llanos (lead guitarist), drummer Jesús Antúnez (musician), Jesús Antúnez and bassist Samuel Titos. They recorded eight albums, selling around two million copies. They are known for their second album ''Devil Came to Me (Dover album), Devil Came to Me'', which led them to international fame. In 2006, their sixth album, ''Follow the City Lights'' caused controversy as the style of the group changed from alternative rock to electronic pop. The band won, among other things, the revelation group awards at the 1997 Premios Ondas and the award for best Spanish artist at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards. Rock Am Ring
The (German language, German for "Rock at the Ring") and ("Rock in the Park") festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually in Germany. While ''Rock am Ring'' takes place at the Nürburgring race track, ''Rock im Park'' takes place at the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg. Rock am Ring festival was founded by in 1985. The two festivals are usually regarded as one event sharing nearly identical lineups. All artists perform one day at the Nürburgring and another day in Nuremberg during the three-day event. Amparo Llanos Fayos (born 27 May 1965) is a Spanish musician, guitarist and songwriter. She was the leader, along with her sister Cristina, of the Spanish rock band Dover. Biography Before the foundation of the band, she worked in the shop of her mother in Majadahonda. She took a course in history and three of Journalism, but according to her, "I left it because I was too timid". Her influences are The Beatles, R.E.M and Nirvana. Dover released his first album in 1995 ("Sister") with Amparo, her sister Cristina (vocals and guitar), Jesús Antúnez (drums) and Alvaro Díez (bass). The album was not a big success, because they sold only 700 copies. Two years later, they released " Devil Came to Me" with which they got a remarkable success of sales, 800,000 copies. Cristina Llanos Fayos (born 3 December 1975) is a Spanish musician, singer, guitarist and songwriter. She was the lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the Spanish rock band Dover. Biography She attended Virgen de Europa School in Boadilla del Monte, and she left it after repeating the course at 18 years old. After living six months in London, she worked in clothing stores that her mother run in a mall of Majadahonda. She is the younger sister of Amparo Llanos, guitarist and band leader of Dover, who influenced her by teaching her to play the guitar and introducing her to bands like The Beatles, R.E.M. or Nirvana.
