''The Final Stage'' is a film directed by Frank Howson. The movie has been called one of Howson's most personal works. Frank Howson
Frank Michael Howson (10 March 1952 – 10 February 2024) was an Australian theatre and film director, screenwriter, and singer. He directed ''Flynn'' (1996) on the early life of Errol Flynn and ''Hunting'' (1991). Howson, with Peter Boyle, helped establish Boulevard Films which produced thirteen films from '' Boulevard of Broken Dreams'' (1988) to ''Flynn''; besides producing for Boulevard Films, Howson often wrote scripts and directed. Early years Frank Michael Howson was born in Melbourne on 10 March 1952. He started in show business when he was seven. After leaving school, Christian Brothers College, St. Kilda (1963–1967), Howson's first job was with Melbourne radio station 3UZ as office boy. Eventually promoted to panel operator, he worked on John McMahon's popular weekly show Radio Auditions (see 3UZ). Tommy Dysart
Thomas Gibson Dysart (24 December 1935 – 7 June 2022) was a Scottish-born Australian actor, known for his appearances on television dramas and comedies and in character roles in films and miniseries. Early career Dysart graduated from NIDA in 1959, and started his career as a vocalist and performed in theatre. Adrian Wright (1 July 1947 – 28 November 2015) was an English-Australian actor known for his roles in the 1970s children's television series ''Freewheelers'' and the Australian serial ''Prisoner'' in which he played male nurse Neil Murray. Early life Wright was born in Maidenhead, England, to Matvyn and Kay Wright. He was one of four brothers, including Martyn, Gareth and Gavyn. His father Matvyn was an artist and animator, best known for illustrating the British Andy Pandy children's books. His brother Gavyn is a violinist and orchestra leader who has worked with artists including Elton John, Tina Turner and Simply Red.
