''The Face'' is an Australian reality television modelling competition series aired on Fox8 of Foxtel and produced by Shine Australia. Naomi Campbell was the show's executive producer and one of the three supermodel coaches of the series, as with the American and British versions. It was reported that the channel and production team acquired the right to create an adaptation for Australian TV on 31 August 2013. Filming for the series took place from 1 November to 4 December 2013. The series premiered on 18 March 2014 and concluded on 6 May 2014. The show premiered to 40,000 national viewers, which was the 18th most watched show on subscription television that night, but only fourth most watched program on FOX8. The remaining episodes of the series rated under 50,000 national viewers, with the finale attracting only 16,000 viewers (plus 25,000 viewers on FOX8 +2). Naomi Elaine Campbell (born 22 May 1970) is a British supermodel. ''Australia's Next Top Model'' is an Australian reality television series which premiered on 11 January 2005 and concluded on 22 November 2016, and was based on Tyra Banks' ''America's Next Top Model''. It was broadcast on the Australian subscription television channel, Fox8. Premise The series featured a group of young female contestants who attended preliminary auditions across Australia with finalists selected to star in the series proper, where they ended up living together in a house for several weeks whilst taking part in lectures, challenges, photo shoots and meetings with members of the modelling industry. ''Make Me a Supermodel'' is an Australian reality television series based on the British TV series of the same title. It debuted on the Seven Network on 6 August 2008 and was hosted by the former Miss Universe winner Jennifer Hawkins. The judges for the program were Martin Walsh, managing director of Chadwick Models, and Jackie Frank, editor of the fashion magazine ''Marie Claire''. Tyson Beckford, the co-host of the American edition, was a guest judge and mentor for the first few episodes whilst Travis Fimmel turned down being a judge for the program. Nicole Trunfio (born 16 March 1986) is an Australian model. Early life Trunfio was born on 16 March 1986 in Dubbo, New South Wales to father Giuseppe and mother Kim. She is the youngest of three siblings. Her father was of Italian descent and she says her Italian upbringing made her feel "more Italian than Australian growing up". She would ride dirt bikes and make Italian sausage, pasta sauce and wine with her grandparents. ''The Face (Australian TV series), The Face Australia Season 1'' is an Australian reality television modelling competition series, based upon the American version with the same format. This series follows three supermodel coaches, Cheyenne Tozzi, Naomi Campbell, and Nicole Trunfio as they compete with each other to find 'the face' of Fresh Effects, Olay. The series premiered on 18 March 2014, on Fox8. Casting All applicants attempting to enter the competition were required to be female and be over the age of 18 or under the age 30 as of 1 November 2013. Applying contestants were also required to meet the minimum height requirement of 172 cm. Past experience as a model was not a requisite. Those with experience as a model could not have been in any national campaign within previous five years before applying. The deadline for all applications was 22 September 2013.
