The Demand Institute is a non-profit think tank that focuses on understanding how consumer demand is evolving around the world. The Demand Institute was founded in 2012 by Mark Leiter and Jonathan Spector, and is jointly operated by The Conference Board and Nielsen and is headquartered in New York City. Mark Leiter (businessman)
Mark Leiter is founder and chairman of Leiter+Company, and a leading strategy expert. He is a Distinguished Strategy Fellow at The Conference Board and serves as a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development (CED). He has served as head of Corporate and Digital Strategy at Boeing following his role as Chief Strategy Officer at Nielsen. Prior to serving as chief strategy officer, he served as Nielsen's global president of practices and consulting services.
