The DC3
The DC3 were an Australian rock band who were composed of three members of Root!. They were known for lead singer Damian Cowell being a former member of TISM. They released their first single, "I Was the Guy in TISM" in 2010. A remixed and extended version appears on their debut album ''The Future Sound of Nostalgia'', released in 2011. History In 2010, Damian Cowell was contracted to write an album for the Museum of Old and New Art. The album was composed of new songs about the artwork at MONA. Damian split his alt-country band Root! up soon after but reformed it with fewer members under the name the DC3. The DC3 gained a following among former TISM and Root! fans after the band's first single "I was the guy in TISM" was released in November 2010. The album was completed in 2011 and called "Vs Art". Eurodisco (also spelled as Euro disco) is a genre of electronic dance music that evolved from disco in the middle 1970s, incorporating elements of pop and rock into a disco-like continuous dance atmosphere. Many Eurodisco compositions feature lyrics sung in English, although the singers often share a different mother tongue. Eurodisco derivatives generally include Europop and Eurodance, with the most prominent sub-genres being space disco of the late 1970s and Italo disco of the early 1980s. Punk rock (also known as simply punk) is a rock music genre that emerged in the mid-1970s. Motorik
Motorik is the 4/4 beat often used by, and heavily associated with, krautrock bands. Coined by music journalists, the term is German for "motor skill". The motorik beat was pioneered by Jaki Liebezeit, drummer with German experimental rock band Can. Klaus Dinger of Neu!, another early pioneer of motorik, later called it the "Apache beat". The motorik beat is heard in one section of Kraftwerk's "Autobahn", a song composed to convey the feeling of driving on the German highway. ''The White Albun'' is the sixth studio album by Australian alternative rock band TISM, released on 24 June 2004. The title is a reference to and deliberate misspelling of ''The White Album'', an unofficial name for the album ''The Beatles''. The album was released as part of a larger package containing two DVDs. The first DVD is titled ''A Film by Antonionioni'' which is a live concert called ''Save Our TISM''. The concept for the concert was a telethon called "Save Our TISM", in which the band have rejected a merger with Powderfinger and need to raise AU$1 million, otherwise they will split up. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s.
