The Crash Reel
''The Crash Reel'' is a documentary film directed by Lucy Walker which premiered as the Opening Night Gala film on 19 January 2013 at the Sundance Film Festival. Through 20 years of sports and verite footage, ''The Crash Reel'' showcases the rivalry between Kevin Pearce and Shaun White which culminates in Kevin's life-changing crash and later comeback. Going Up The Country
"Going Up the Country" (also "Goin' Up the Country") is a song adapted and recorded by American blues rock band Canned Heat. Called a "rural hippie anthem", it became one of the band's biggest hits and best-known songs. As with their previous single, " On the Road Again", the song was adapted from a 1920s blues song by Henry Thomas "Bull Doze Blues" and sung by Alan Wilson. Background and composition Canned Heat, who were early blues enthusiasts, based "Going Up the Country" on "Bull Doze Blues", recorded in 1928 by Texas bluesman Henry Thomas. Thomas was from the songster tradition and had a unique sound, sometimes accompanying himself on quills, an early Afro-American wind instrument similar to panpipes. He recorded "Bull Doze Blues" in Chicago on June 13, 1928, for Vocalion Records. Spiritualized (stylised as Spiritualized®) are an English rock band formed in 1990 in Rugby, Warwickshire, by Jason Pierce (often known as J. Spaceman), formerly of Spacemen 3. José Gabriel González (born 31 July 1978) is a Swedish indie folk singer-songwriter and guitarist from Gothenburg. González is also a member of the band Junip, along with Tobias Winterkorn. Early life and education José González was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, to Argentine parents. The González family—made up of González's father, a National University of San Luis psychology student, González's mother, a fellow student studying biochemistry, both of whom were politically active, and González's older sister, then an infant—fled Argentina after the 1976 Argentine coup d'état, military coup d'état in March 1976, at the start of the "Dirty War". Escaping to Brazil, they were granted asylum by the Swedish consulate in Rio de Janeiro and relocated to Gothenburg in 1977. "Ekki múkk" is the second track on Sigur Rós' sixth studio album, ''Valtari''. It premiered on the official website as well as an accompanying video on March 26, 2012. On Record Store Day, April 21, Sigur Rós released a 10-inch limited edition vinyl edition of "Ekki múkk" that plays inside out. Its B-side is an instrumental track titled "Kvistur".
