The Correspondents (TV Program)
''The Correspondents'' was the longest-running Philippine weekly investigative documentary show of ABS-CBN. Originally hosted by Mari Kaimo, Jim Libiran, Erwin Tulfo, Cherie Mercado and Korina Sanchez, it premiered on November 10, 1998, replacing '' The Inside Story''. The show concluded on October 19, 2010, and was replaced by ''Patrol ng Pilipino''. Karen Davila, Abner Mercado, Bernadette Sembrano and Alex Santos served as the final hosts. It brought an in-depth look at the lives of people as they lived, going through hardships and celebrating their joys. "Ang Huling Pagtatanghal" served as the last show episode. The show aired for 11 years and 11 months. A documentary film or documentary is a non-fictional motion-picture intended to "document reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction, education or maintaining a historical record". Bill Nichols has characterized the documentary in terms of "a filmmaking practice, a cinematic tradition, and mode of audience reception hat remainsa practice without clear boundaries". Cecilia Victoria Oreña-Drilon (; born July 8, 1961), simply known as Ces Drilon, is a Filipino broadcast journalist.
