Tom Terriss
Thomas Herbert F. Lewin (28 September 1872 – 8 February 1964), known professionally as Tom Terriss, was a British actor, screenwriter, and film director. After trying various occupations, he became an actor playing a variety of roles, beginning in 1890, in plays, pantomime and Edwardian musical comedy. After the First World War, he left the stage and pursued a decade-long film career. He was the brother of the musical comedy star Ellaline Terriss and son of leading man actor William Terriss. Life and career Terriss was born in Barnes, London, son of the actor William Terriss and his wife Isabel (née Lewis). He was educated at Christ's Hospital, and being, in his own words, "like his father before him … of roving disposition", he tried several occupations before becoming an actor. Frank Norcross (actor)
Frank Herbert Norcross (May 11, 1869 – November 4, 1952) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Education and career Born in Reno, Nevada, Norcross received an Artium Baccalaureus degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1891 and a Bachelor of Laws from Georgetown Law in 1894. He was a district attorney of Washoe County, Nevada from 1895 to 1897. He was a member of the Nevada Assembly from 1897 to 1899. He was in private practice in Reno from 1899 to 1904. Norcross became a justice of the Supreme Court of Nevada in 1904, serving until 1916, including terms as chief justice from 1909 to 1911 and from 1915 to 1916. He returned to private practice in Reno from 1917 to 1928. Rod La Rocque
Roderick Ross La Rocque (November 29, 1898 – October 15, 1969) was an American actor. Biography La Rocque was born in Chicago, Illinois to Edmund La Rocque and Ann (née Rice) La Rocque. His father was of French-Canadian descent and his mother was of Irish descent. He began appearing in stock theater at the age of seven and eventually ended up at the Essanay Studios as a teenager in Chicago where he found steady work until the studios closed. He then moved to New York City and worked on the stage until he was noticed by Samuel Goldwyn who took him to Hollywood. Over the next two decades, he appeared in films and made the transition to sound films. In 1927, he married Hungarian actress Vilma Bánky in a lavish, highly publicized wedding. They were married until his death in 1969. The couple had no children. He retired from movies in 1941 and became a real estate broker. De Sacia Mooers
De Sacia Mooers (November 19, 1888 – January 11, 1960) was a film actress, disputably from Los Angeles, California. She appeared in over one hundred movies in the silent film era. She was perhaps best known as the "Blonde Vamp" for her role in ''The Blonde Vampire'' in 1922. Her career ended with talking films. Early life Newspaper accounts of the era differ as to her birthplace. At the time, it was common for the various studios to exaggerate or fabricate an actor's biography to make them seem more exotic and interesting to the general public. One report contends that she was a Los Angeles native and a member of the California Saville family. This is borne out by the fact that she was billed as De Sacia Saville in the serial ''The Son of Tarzan (film), The Son of Tarzan'' (1920). The Savilles were among California's pioneer settlers.
