Lauren Wolkstein is an American film director, writer, producer and editor. She is known for directing, writing, and editing the 2017 film '' The Strange Ones'' with Christopher Radcliff and serving on the directorial team for the third season of Ava DuVernay's ''Queen Sugar'', which she followed with a producing director role in the fifth season. She is an Associate Professor of Film and Media Arts at Temple University in Philadelphia. Early life and education Wolkstein was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others.
