The Apache Dancer
''The Apache Dancer'' is a 1923 American silent drama film directed by Charles R. Seeling and starring George Larkin, Ollie Kirby. Theme Melodramatic romance in which an Apache dancer, after saving the life of an American visitor to a Paris cafe and inheriting a fortune, comes to America to pursue his suit for the hand of the beautiful girl. The villains frustrated in their plan by the dancer fellow and their scheme to discredit him ends when a thrilling fight culminates in triumph for the dancer. Julian Rivero (July 25, 1890 – February 24, 1976) was an American actor whose career spanned seven decades. He made his film debut in the 1923 silent melodrama, ''The Bright Shawl'', which starred Richard Barthelmess, Dorothy Gish, William Powell, Mary Astor, and Edward G. Robinson. Over the next 50 years, Rivero would appear in well over 200 films and television shows. He only made a handful of appearances in silent films. With the advent of sound films, he would appear in both English language films, as well as the Spanish language versions of English films, such as ''Así es la vida'', which was Spanish version of the 1930 film, '' What a Man''. Nitta-Jo (born in Paris on October 8, 1881, or 1887) was the stage name for French singer and performer Jeanne Daflon, also known as Fannie Daflon or Jeanne Nitta Dufflin or Fanny Dafflan. Personal life She was the daughter of Philip Dafflon, general manager of the Le Bon Marché department store in Paris. George Larkin
George Larkin (November 11, 1887 – March 27, 1946) was an American film actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 150 films between 1910 and 1931. He was born and died in New York, New York. He was married to actress Ollie Kirkby. In addition to his acting career, Larkin also wrote scripts with his wife, which include '' Bulldog Courage'' (1922) and '' The Pell Street Mystery'' (1924). Larkin starred in both of these films. His archive is held by the University of California.
