The film stars Ximena Ayala as Claudia, a young woman who becomes a caretaker for Martha (Lisa Owen), an older matriarch dying of AIDS. The film premiered on August 10, 2013 at the Locarno International Film Festival, where it won two Junior Jury Awards and was a nominee for the Golden Leopard. An appendectomy, also termed appendicectomy, is a surgical operation in which the vermiform appendix (a portion of the intestine) is removed. Appendectomy is normally performed as an urgent or emergency procedure to treat complicated acute appendicitis. Metacritic is a website that aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average). Appendicitis
Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix. Symptoms commonly include right lower abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite. However, approximately 40% of people do not have these typical symptoms.
