The Album (ABBA Album)
''ABBA: The Album'' (also known as simply ''The Album'') is the fifth studio album by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released in Scandinavia on 12 December 1977 through Polar Music, but due to the massive pre-orders the UK pressing plants were not able to press sufficient copies before Christmas 1977 and so it was not released in the UK until January 1978. The album was released in conjunction with '' ABBA: The Movie'', with several of the songs featured in the film. Altogether the album contains nine songs. The album contained two UK number-one singles, "Take a Chance on Me" and " The Name of the Game", as well as European hits "Eagle" and "Thank You for the Music". ''ABBA'' is the third studio album by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was originally released on 21 April 1975 through Polar Music and featured the hits "SOS (ABBA song), SOS", "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" and Mamma Mia (ABBA song), "Mamma Mia". "Take a Chance on Me" is a song by Swedish recording group ABBA, released on 27 January 1978 in the United Kingdom, by Polar Music, as the second single from their fifth studio album, '' ABBA: The Album'' (1977). Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad share the lead vocals on the verses and choruses, with Fältskog singing two bridge sections solo. ''Blue Peter'' is a British children's television entertainment programme created by John Hunter Blair. It is the longest-running children's TV show in the world, having been broadcast since October 1958. Mike Yarwood
Michael Edward Yarwood (14 June 1941 – 8 September 2023) was an English impressionist, comedian and actor. He was one of Britain's top-rated entertainers, regularly appearing on television from the 1960s to the 1980s. Early life Michael Edward Yarwood was born on 14 June 1941 in Bredbury, Cheshire. After leaving secondary modern school, he worked as a messenger and then a salesman at a garment warehouse. He played football as a child and tried out for the professional team Oldham Athletic. ''Starparade'' was a West German music television programme, which aired on ZDF from March 14, 1968, to June 5, 1980, and was hosted by , along with James Last and his orchestra, who began his world-wide success on the show. History ''Starparade'' was an elaborate music show which was filmed in different venues across Germany. Each show was broadcast for approximately 90 minutes and showcased music and short interviews with the artists. ''The Complete Studio Recordings'' is a box set of all of the studio material released by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released on 7 November 2005 and consists of 9 CDs and 2 DVDs, plus a full color booklet with a timeline and photos. Another booklet containing complete lyrics to all of the music was also included. There is one CD for each of ABBA's 8 studio albums. These CDs also include bonus tracks in the form of non-album tracks and foreign language versions. The final CD contains additional rare tracks, including songs released after the group had disbanded. Of particular interest is the rare alternate mix of " Waterloo", which has never been available on CD before. The extended mono version of " On and On and On"—featuring an extra verse and previously only available as the soundtrack to the song's video—is also released on CD for the first time. "The Movie" is the fourteenth episode of the fourth season of the American television sitcom ''Seinfeld'' (and the 54th episode overall).
