The 100 Greatest Films Of Argentine Cinema
The 100 Greatest Films of Argentine Cinema (Spanish: ''Las 100 mejores películas del cine argentino''), also known as the Survey of Argentine cinema (Spanish: ''Encuesta de cine argentino''), are a series of opinion polls carried out to establish a list of the greatest films of Cinema of Argentina, Argentine cinema of all time. The original survey was carried out by the Museo del Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken in the years 1977, 1984, 1991 and 2000. In 2022, a new edition was held, organized by the film magazines ''La vida útil'', ''Taipei'' and ''La tierra quema'', with support from INCAA, the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, the FestiFreak International Film Festival of La Plata, the Casa de la Cultura of General Roca, Río Negro, General Roca and the Museo del Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken. Leonardo Favio
Fuad Jorge Jury (28 May 1938 – 5 November 2012), better known by his stage name Leonardo Favio (), was an Argentine singer, actor and filmmaker. He is considered one of Argentina's best film directors and one of the country's most enduring cultural figures, as well as a popular singer-songwriter throughout Latin America. Much beloved in Latin America, Favio was one of the most successful Argentine singers in the 1960s and 1970s, with big hits like (with Carola Leyton), , , , , , , , , , , and . He also starred in many films before establishing himself as a director. At the time he began his singing career (mid-1960s), Favio was already an established film director. Fernando Ayala
Fernando Ayala (2 July 1920 – 11 September 1997) was an Argentina, Argentine film director, screenwriter and film producer of the classic era. He is widely considered one of the most important Argentine film directors and producers in the history of the cinema of Argentina. Ayala initially began as a trainee assistant director in 1942, in ''The Journey (1942 film), El Viaje'', and within two years he had become an assistant director. By 1949 he had obtained his first job as director, and from 1958 he also served as producer for the films he directed and some others. Hugo Del Carril
Pierre Bruno Hugo Fontana, otherwise known as Hugo del Carril (30 November 1912 – 13 August 1989), was an Argentine film actor, film director and tango singer of the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. Early life Born in Buenos Aires, del Carril was the son of parents of a rich economic position, his mother Orsolina Bertani was born in Argentina (daughter of the Italian Anarchist Orsini Bertani), but his father Hugo Fontana was an Italian architect, born in Milan. Leopoldo Torres Ríos
Leopoldo Torres Ríos (27 December 1899 – 10 April 1960) was an Argentina, Argentine film director and screenwriter notable for his work during the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. His brother Carlos Torres Ríos was a notable cinematographer. His son was the film director and screenwriter Leopoldo Torre Nilsson. Rios initially solely began as a screenwriter, writing for his first film ''Palomas rubias'' in 1920 but by 1923 he began simultaneously directing and writing for his films, producing over 40 films between the early 1920s and 1959 when he was taken ill with lung cancer.
