Thattekere
Tattekere is a village in Kanakapura taluk in Ramanagara district, 40 km away from Bangalore. It has a population of 1293 in 2011. The village derives its name from a lake there which is a picnic spot, "tatte" means plate and "kere" means lake in native Kannada language. A Mahadeshwara temple is there in the village on west side of the Tattekere lake, situated in elephant corridor of Bannerghatta National Park and it is a birdwatching place. Muthyalamaduvu
Muthyalamaduvu is a tourist attraction located near Anekal, Bengaluru Urban, Karnataka. The place is also known as Pearl Valley. It is located 5km from Anekal and 40km from Bangalore. From the Anekal- Thally Road, visitors take a right turn to reach Muthyalamaduvu. Tourism The place is known for its waterfall and the mountain ranges it overlooks. The water from the falls slides down the flora of the place creating an illusion of a string of pearls, hence the name Pearl Valley. Near the waterfall, there is a temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva). A puja (prayer) is done once every morning. The place has a rich concentration of birds owing to the presence of the waterfall. The mountain ranges are also visited by trekking enthusiasts. Another tourist attraction, Thattekere lake, is nearby. Trekking is the major adventure sport. Kanakapura
Kanakapura is a city in the Bengaluru South District of Karnataka on the banks of the Arkavathi river and the administrative center of the taluk of the same name. Its founder is Shrihan Kanaka Sigmanath, hence its name. Kanakapura is largest cocoon silk producer in India. River Cauvery flows around 21 km in Kanakapura Taluk. Ramanagara District
Bengaluru South ( Ramanagara ) District is one of the 31 districts of Karnataka state in southern India. Ramanagara City is the administrative headquarters of this district. The district is part of Bangalore Division. History Ramanagara district was carved out of the erstwhile Bangalore Rural district on 23 August 2007, comprising Ramanagara, Channapatna, Harohalli, Kanakapura and Magadi taluks.
