''Thandatti'' is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by Ram Sangaiah in his directorial debut. It stars Pasupathy, Rohini, Vivek Prasanna and Ammu Abhirami. The film was produced by Prince Pictures and has songs composed by K. S. Sundaramoorthy, while Sam C. S. composed the background score. The story of the film revolves around an old woman's Thandatti, which goes missing during her funeral procession. The film was released theatrically on 23 June 2023. It received positive reviews from critics. Plot The film begins with a police operation, where Constable Subramani, known for his hasty decisions, shoots a criminal when he tries to escape, earning the wrath of his superiors. Pasupathy
Pasupathy (born 18 May 1969) is an Indian actor. He appeared in critically acclaimed roles in many noted films in Tamil cinema, playing supporting, antagonistic, comedic as well as protagonistic roles. He has won a Tamil Nadu State Film Award and Two Filmfare Awards South. His performance in '' E'' (2006) earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Villain. He also won an ITFA Best Supporting Actor Award for his role in '' Kuselan'' (2008). He has also appeared in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films. Rohini Molleti, known professionally as Rohini, is an Indian actress, screenwriter, dubbing artist, and lyricist. She has mainly acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films along with few Kannada films. Having started her acting career at five, she has about 130 films to her credit.
