Than Paing
Than Paing (; born 6 December 1996) is a Burmese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Kanchanaburi Power in Thai League 2 and the Myanmar national team. He scored the only goal in the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship quarter-final that sent Myanmar to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup for the first time in their history. Myanmar National Football Team
The Myanmar national football team () represents Myanmar in men's international association football and is governed by the Myanmar Football Federation. It was known as the Burma national football team until 1989, when Burma was renamed Myanmar. During their heydays, the team finished second in the 1968 AFC Asian Cup, participated in the Summer Olympics in 1972 and in the Asian Games and having won the Asian Games twice; in 1966 and 1970, and the football event of the Southeast Asian Games on five successive occasions; in 1965, 1967, 1969, 1971 and 1973. They did not participate in any FIFA World Cup qualification for the rest of the 20th century, contributing to the downfall of the national side. The 2014 Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy was the fifth edition of the invitational tournament hosted by Brunei. The tournament take place in Brunei from 9–23 August 2014. Eleven teams from the Asean Football Federation participate in the tournament for under the age of 22. The draw took place on 12 July 2014 at the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) House. The teams are divided into two groups. Host country, Brunei, were given a chance to choose which group they wished to be drawn in. Brunei chose to be drawn in group B. The Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy for ASEAN Youth Football Championship, is the football tournament for youth players in Southeast Asia. It was opened to football players from ASEAN member states under the age of 21 years to participate in this. The third round of 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualification is played from 25 March 2025 to 31 March 2026.
