''ThaMuseMeant'' is an American folk-rock quartet. The band has had three permanent members since the beginning: Aimee Curl (acoustic bass and vocals), Nathan Moore (guitar and vocals), and David Tiller (mandolin, fiddle, guitar). Prior to 2001 the band contained Jeff Sussman on percussion instead of Enion Pelta-Tiller on violin, who joined in 2003. Originally from Virginia, the bandmembers met in Austin, Texas. They spent some time in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Portland, Oregon, oscillating between these two Western cities. Nathan Moore's poetic lyrics, Aimee Curl's singing style combines with David Tiller and Enion Pelta-Tiller's technique in their respective instruments to create a unique sound. ThaMuseMeant toured in the Summer of 2007 for the first time in two years and played at the High Sierra Music Festival in July 2007. Etymology The name ''ThaMuseMeant ...

Amusement
Amusement is the state of experiencing humorous and entertaining events or situations while the person or animal actively maintains the experience, and is associated with enjoyment, happiness, laughter and pleasure. It is an emotion with positive valence and high physiological arousal. Amusement is considered an "epistemological" emotion because humor occurs when one experiences a cognitive shift from one knowledge structure about a target to another, such as hearing the punchline of a joke. The pleasant surprise that happens from learning this new information leads to a state of amusement which people often express through smiling, laughter or chuckling. Current studies have not yet reached consensus on the exact purpose of amusement, though theories have been advanced in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and sociology. In addition, the precise mechanism that causes a given element (image, sound, behavior, etc.) to be perceived as more or less 'amusing' than another si ...

Enion Pelta-Tiller
In the mythological writings of William Blake, Enion is an Emanation/mate of Tharmas, one of the four Zoas, who were created when Albion, the primordial man, was divided fourfold. She represents sexuality and sexual urges while Tharmas represents sensation. In her fallen aspect, she is a wailing woman that is filled with jealousy. After the Final Judgment, she is reunited with Tharmas and able to experience an idealised sexual union. Character Enion is an Emanation, a female essence that is part of one of the divine Four Zoas. She is connected to Tharmas, who is the western and water based Zoas. He is connected to the senses and to the body, and her aspect is sexual desire. It is possible that her name comes from letters used in Enitharmon's name, with Tharmas being the middle portion of the name and hers representing the rest. Tharmas represents a unity within the spirit, and, when Enion is separated from him, she becomes the image of the earth mother. Enion has the power to genera ...
