Textures (band)
Textures are a Dutch progressive metalcore band, formed in 2001. Textures' lineup revolved around founding members Jochem Jacobs, Stef Broks, Bart Hennephof, and bassist Remko Tielemans who joined in 2007. Since 2010, vocalist Daniël de Jongh and keyboardist Uri Dijk have been with the band. Textures first came to the spotlight with their debut album ''Polars'' with Listenable Records which won an Essent Award for "Most Promising Act" in 2004. Since then, the band released 2 more albums with Listenable Records, 2006's '' Drawing Circles'' and 2008's ''Silhouettes'' after signing to Nuclear Blast records. Jochem Jacobs
Jochem Jacobs (born 26 March 1977) is a Dutch guitarist, producer and recording engineer, noted for his work as founder, guitarist and producer for Textures (band), Textures. He works at Split Second Sound, a studio in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He has been involved with the Audio mixing (recorded music), mixing, Audio mastering, mastering and production of all Textures albums so far, as well as other bands such as Epica (band), Epica, Autumn (Dutch band), Autumn, Stream of Passion, Heidevolk, Severe Torture, Hord, In-Quest, Almah (band), Almah, Izegrim, The Red Shore, Intwine, Face Tomorrow, Kingfisher Sky and Devious (band), Devious. He is endorsed by Mayones Guitars & Basses, Mayones guitars. He played with his brother Sander in the Dutch crossover metal band Ground Control from 1995 to 2001, and released 2 demos and one album. Paul Antonio Ortiz (born 19 February 1984) is an English multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work under the pseudonym, or solo project, of Chimp Spanner. He recorded, produced, mixed and mastered in his home studio, both the 2005 album ''Imperium Vorago'' and 2009's '' At The Dream's Edge''. Ortiz has also composed for computer games, advertising, television and radio — and for clients ranging from Red Bull to Dolby Laboratories — and mixed and mastered albums for other musicians. Amon Amarth () are a Swedish melodic death metal band from Tumba, Sweden, Tumba, formed in 1992. The band take its name from the Sindarin name of Mount Doom, a volcano in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth.
