Texas–Tyler Patriots
The UT Tyler Patriots are the athletic teams that represent the University of Texas at Tyler, located in Tyler, Texas, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Patriots are full members of the Lone Star Conference, which is home to all sixteen athletic programs. History As of July 2017, the school was considering a move to Division II as a part of a strategy to be a more significant player in the region, possibly building a new athletic campus in the process. On February 2, 2018, the school formally applied for Division II status; if approved, full membership would begin on September 1, 2021. No conference affiliation was initially announced. After the NCAA approved UT Tyler to begin the transition process, UT Tyler would be announced as a new member of the Lone Star Conference effective with the 2019–20 school year. The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) is a public university, public research university in Tyler, Texas, United States. Founded in 1971, it is a part of the University of Texas System. UT Tyler consists of six professional colleges and one traditional college of arts and sciences, offering over 90 academic degree programs at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels. The University of Texas at Tyler is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Western Washington Vikings
The Western Washington Vikings represent Western Washington University in intercollegiate sports in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference of the NCAA Division II with the exception of the women's rowing team which is a member of the Northwest Collegiate Rowing Conference. WWU has been an official member of NCAA Division II since September 1998. Their mascot is Victor E. Viking. Western Washington sponsors six sports for men and nine sports for women with approximately 350 student athletes. Mascot The story of Victor E. Ungmennafélagið Afturelding (, ), commonly known as Afturelding or UMFA, is a professional Icelandic multi-sports club from the town of Mosfellsbær located just north of the capital Reykjavík. The club was founded in 1909 and today is primarily known for its handball, football and volleyball teams. Football The team plays their home games at artificial pitch Varmárvöllur in Mosfellsbær. Brittany Lynne Mahomes ( Matthews; born August 31, 1995) is an American sports team co-owner and former soccer player who played as a forward. She is a founding co-owner of the Kansas City Current, a team in the American professional top-division National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Early life Mahomes attended Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. NAIA Men's Tennis Championship
The NAIA men's tennis championships are contested at the annual tournament hosted by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics to determine the national champions of men's collegiate tennis among its members in the United States and Canada. Held annually since 1966, three separate championships are contested during the tournament: team, singles, and doubles. The most successful program has been Redlands, with eleven NAIA national titles. Among active NAIA programs, Georgia Gwinnett has the most titles, with ten. The NCAA Division II softball tournament is the annual tournament hosted by the NCAA to determine the national champion of women's college softball among Division II members in the United States and Canada. The final rounds of the tournament are also referred to as the NCAA Division II Women's College World Series. The tournament has been held annually since 1982. History The school was founded as "Messiah Bible School and Missionary Training Home" in 1909 by the Brethren in Christ Church.
