Tevaiti-Ariipaea Pomare (born ) is a French Polynesian actuary, civil servant, politician, and Cabinet Minister. Pomare was born in Pirae. He studied in France at ENSAE Paris and the Institute of Financial Science and Insurance, and then worked at the Bank of France, KPMG and Winter & Associates as an actuary. In 2014 he returned to French Polynesia, where he worked for social welfare agency ''Caisse de Prévoyance Sociale''. In 2020 he became a consultant. Moetai Brotherson
Moetai Charles Brotherson (born 22 October 1969) is a French Polynesian politician who has served as President of French Polynesia since 12 May 2023. He had previously represented French Polynesia's 3rd constituency in the French National Assembly from the 2017. A member of Tāvini Huiraʻatira, he had also served as a member of the Assembly of French Polynesia from 2018. Brotherson has been deputy leader of Tāvini Huiraʻatira since 2017 under the leadership of former President of French Polynesia Oscar Temaru. Following the 2023 French Polynesian legislative election, Brotherson was elected President of French Polynesia by the Assembly of French Polynesia. He supports French Polynesia peacefully gaining independence from France through a local referendum possibly to be held in the 2030s. Tāvini Huiraʻatira (), also known as Tāvini huiraʻatira nō te ao māʻohi – FLP (), is a pro-independence political party in French Polynesia. Founded in 1977 as the ''Front de libération de la Polynésie'' (FLP), the party has been led since its inception by Oscar Temaru. 2023 French Polynesian Legislative Election
Elections to the Assembly of French Polynesia are scheduled to be held in 2023 in order to elect 57 representatives to the Assembly of French Polynesia. The last election was in 2018.
