Teunis Nieuwoudt
Teunis Nieuwoudt (born 3 December 1991) is a South African professional rugby union player for Rugby United New York in Major League Rugby. His regular position is loosehead prop. Career Nieuwoudt was born in East London, but grew up in Pretoria, where he attended Hoërskool Waterkloof. However, he failed to earn any provincial call-ups to represent the Blue Bulls in competitions such as the Craven Week. After high school, he moved to the Western Cape, where he played rugby for in the Western Province Super League in 2013 and 2014. He was included in their squad for the 2014 Varsity Cup, but failed to make any appearances. In 2015, Nieuwoudt moved to Bloemfontein where he joined their university side, the , and was included in their squad for the 2015 Varsity Cup. He missed out on the first two rounds of action, but played in all of their remaining matches. The 2015 Vodacom Cup was contested from 6 March to 30 May 2015. The tournament was the 18th edition of the Vodacom Cup, an annual domestic South African rugby union competition, and was played between the fourteen provincial teams in South Africa, as well as the and Namibian side . Gqeberha (), formerly Port Elizabeth and colloquially often referred to as P.E., is a major seaport and the most populous city in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.
