Tetovo Municipality
Tetovo (, ; ) is a municipality in the northwest part of North Macedonia. Tetovo's municipal seat is located in the town of the same name. Tetovo Municipality is part of the Polog Statistical Region. 2019 Albania Earthquake
Northwestern Albania was struck by a magnitude 6.4 earthquake with an epicentre 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) west-southwest of Mamurras, at 03:54 CET (UTC+1) on 26 November 2019. The earthquake lasted at least 50 seconds and was felt in Albania's capital Tirana, and in places as far away as Bari, Taranto and Belgrade, 370 kilometres (230 mi) northeast of the epicentre. The maximum felt intensity was VIII (''Severe'') on the Modified Mercalli intensity scale. A total of 51 people were killed in the earthquake, with about 3,000 injured. It was the second earthquake to strike the region within three months. It was the strongest earthquake to hit Albania in more than 40 years, its deadliest earthquake in 99 years and the world's deadliest earthquake in 2019. Gajre, North Macedonia
Gajre (, ) is a village in the municipality of Tetovo, North Macedonia. History Gajre is attested in the 1467/68 Ottoman tax registry (defter) for the Nahiyah of Kalkandelen. The village had a total of 17 Christian households, 1 bachelor and 3 widows. According to the 1467-68 Ottoman defter, Gajre (then known as Garje or Gara) exhibits largely Albanian anthroponomy. Due to Slavicisation, some families had a mixed Slav-Albanian anthroponomy - usually a Slavic first name and an Albanian last name or last names with Albanian patronyms and Slavic suffixes. Five soldiers were killed near the village on June 5, 2001, by National Liberation Army insurgents, which was one of the heaviest death tolls for the government forces in a single incident during the 2001 insurgency in Macedonia. Fališe () is a village in the municipality of Tetovo, North Macedonia. History Fališe is attested in the 1467/68 Ottoman tax registry (defter) for the Nahiyah of Kalkandelen. The village had a total of 30 Christian households, 1 bachelor and 2 widows. According to the 1467–68 Ottoman defter, Fališe exhibits a slight majority of anthroponyms belonging to the Orthodox Christian Slavic onomastic sphere, along with a sizeable minority of names which are characteristically Albanian. Džepčište
Džepčište (; ) is a village in the municipality of Tetovo, North Macedonia. Geography Džepčište is located at the range of Shar Mountain- Scardica, as well as in the field of Polog valley, characterized by relatively frosty winters as mountain stream climate prevailing during the long winter and warm and dry with temperatures reaching up to 45 degrees Celsius in the summer time for a Mediterranean climate. Overall, it has four seasons and fertile agricultural land and is known for the stable and very well-grown vegetables and local fruits. Vlachs
Vlach ( ), also Wallachian and many other variants, is a term and exonym used from the Middle Ages until the Modern Era to designate speakers of Eastern Romance languages living in Southeast Europe—south of the Danube (the Balkan peninsula) and north of the Danube. Turkish People
