Tess Feury
Tess Feury (born March 15, 1996) is an American rugby union player. She made her debut for the United States in 2016 against England at the Women's Super Series in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was selected for the Eagles 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup squad. Biography Feury captained the United States Girls team at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Feury graduated from the Pennsylvania State University where she majored in Nursing and played for their women’s rugby team. She grew up playing rugby; her father was introduced to the sport when he attended Rutgers University. He started an American Flag Rugby Program which allowed his sons and daughter to play rugby. Feury currently works as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse at Morristown Medical Center. In 2022, she was named in the Eagles squad for the Pacific Four Series in New Zealand. 2021 Rugby World Cup
The 2021 Rugby World Cup was the ninth staging of the women's Rugby World Cup, as organised by World Rugby. It was held from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei, New Zealand. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first women's Rugby World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand, and by a country in the Southern Hemisphere. New Zealand were also the defending champions. The tournament introduced changes such as replacement of classification play-offs in the knockout stage with quarter-finals, and a longer scheduling window with at least five days between matches. It was also the first to not be marketed by World Rugby as the "Women's Rugby World Cup", due to a decision to market both the men's and women's tournaments under the "Rugby World Cup" title with no disambiguation beginning in 2021. The 2022 Pacific Four Series was the second edition of the Pacific Four Series. The competition was hosted by New Zealand from 6 to 18 June. The USA Women's National Team XVs is the senior national team for the United States in the 15-a-side version of rugby. The team was officially formed in 1987 and is nicknamed the Eagles.
