Terry Kavanagh
Terrence "Terry" Kavanagh ( ) is an American comic book editor and writer. Career Kavanagh was a Marvel Comics editor from 1985 to 1997. Titles he edited during that time included ''Marvel Comics Presents'' and ''Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D''. Writer/artist Alan Davis, who Kavanagh edited on ''Excalibur'', said "Terry Kavanagh spoiled me, gave me near total freedom, and encouraged me to experiment." In 1987, he began to write for Marvel with his first published story "Cry Vengeance!" appearing in ''Kickers, Inc.'' #4 (Feb. 1987). He later wrote such titles as '' Marc Spector: Moon Knight'', ''Avengers: Timeslide'', '' X-Man'' and '' X-Universe''. In ''Web of Spider-Man'' #100 (May 1993), Kavanagh and artist Alex Saviuk gave the lead character "Spider-Armor". He wrote the ''Spider-Man/Punisher/Sabretooth: Designer Genes'' one-shot the following month. Maximum Carnage
"Maximum Carnage" is a 14-part comic book crossover published in Marvel Comics' ''Spider-Man'' family of titles in 1993. It featured Spider-Man, Venom, and a host of other superheroes teaming up to face Venom's murderous offspring Carnage and his team of supervillains. Plot Since the alien symbiote to which he was bonded was destroyed during his capture, Cletus Kasady is presumed powerless and jailed at Ravencroft Asylum. However, the symbiote mutated his blood before its destruction, enabling Kasady to reconstitute the symbiote and break out. During his escape, Kasady—again calling himself Carnage—frees fellow inmate Shriek. Over the course of their ensuing killing spree through New York City, they recruit Doppelganger, Demogoblin, and Carrion. The West Coast Avengers is a fictional group of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The team first appeared in ''The West Coast Avengers'' #1 (Sept. 1984), created by Roger Stern and Bob Hall. It was the first spin-off publication for the Avengers. Following the 1984 limited series, the West Coast Avengers were the focus of an ongoing series published from October 1985 to January 1994.
