Terry Ewasiuk
Terry Ewasiuk (born October 26, 1953) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 7th round (103rd overall) of the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft, and was also drafted by the Chicago Cougars in the 4th round (40th overall) of the 1973 WHA Amateur Draft. Ewasiuk is currently the head coach for the Saddle Lake Warriors of the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League. Playing career Ewasiuk began his professional career with the Hershey Bears, playing the 1973–74 and 1974–75 seasons with the American Hockey League (AHL) team. He split the 1975–76 season between the Saginaw Gears of the International Hockey League (IHL), and the Baltimore Clippers and Springfield Indians of the AHL. Ewasiuk skated the next two seasons with the Fort Wayne Komets of the IHL before retiring as a player following the 1977–78 campaign. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league comprises 32 teams, with 26 in the United States and 6 in Canada. As of the 2024–25 AHL season, all 32 NHL teams held affiliations with an AHL team. Historically, when an NHL team does not have an AHL affiliate, its players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL franchises. The league offices are located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and its current president is Scott Howson. Moose Jaw Warriors
The Moose Jaw Warriors are a Canadian major junior ice hockey team based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The Warriors play in the East Division of the Western Hockey League's Eastern Conference, hosting games at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. The team was founded in 1980 as the Winnipeg Warriors, and relocated to Moose Jaw in 1984. The Warriors won their first league championship in 2024. Portage College is a public board-governed community college in Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada. Portage has seven campus locations throughout northeastern Alberta. History In 1968, Alberta NewStart was established in Lac La Biche as part of the federal government's initiative to research basic adult education. NewStart offered instruction in areas as diverse as academic upgrading, trapping, wild fur management, and oilfield management. Sherwood Park Crusaders
The Sherwood Park Crusaders are a Junior ice hockey team in the BCHL. They play in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, with home games at Sherwood Park Arena Sports Centre. The team was part of the AJHL, until 2024 when it switched mid-season to the BCHL. History The Edmonton Crusaders joined the AJHL in 1976 playing out of the Jasper Place Arena. The Fort Saskatchewan Traders were an ice hockey team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Alberta Junior Hockey League
The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) is an Alberta-based Junior A ice hockey league that belongs to the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). It was formed as a five-team league in 1964. The 2023–24 season began with 16 teams, however 5 teams did not finish the season after it was announced that they planned to join the BCHL in the 2024–25 season. The regular season league champions receive the Dave Duchak Trophy. The playoff champions receive the Inter Pipeline Cup (previously known as the Carling O'Keefe trophy and Gas Drive Cup).
