Terrence Malick is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. Throughout his career, which has spanned over four decades, he has directed nine feature films and one documentary. He has also written scripts for other directors, and since the 1990s has acted as producer and executive producer on numerous projects. Terrence Malick
Terrence Frederick Malick (born November 30, 1943) is an American filmmaker. His films include '' Days of Heaven'' (1978), '' The Thin Red Line'' (1998), for which he received Academy Award nominations for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay, '' The New World'' (2005) and '' The Tree of Life'' (2011), the latter of which garnered him another Best Director Oscar nomination and the Palme d'Or at the 64th Cannes Film Festival. Malick began his career as part of the New Hollywood wave with the films ''Badlands'' (1973), about a murderous couple on the run in 1950s American Midwest, and ''Days of Heaven'' (1978), which detailed a love triangle between two laborers and a wealthy farmer during the First World War, before a lengthy hiatus. ''Voyage of Time'' is a 2016 American documentary film written and directed by Terrence Malick. The film is said to be an examination of the birth and death of the known universe. Malick had been working on the film for over forty years and it has been described by Malick himself as "one of my greatest dreams". ''Voyage of Time'' was released in two versions: a forty-minute IMAX version with narration by Brad Pitt, and a 35-millimetre feature-length edition (also known as ''Voyage of Time: Life's Journey'') narrated by Cate Blanchett. Bill Kerby
Bill Kerby was a screenwriter for several Hollywood films and television series who wrote and co-wrote the 1970s films '' Hooper'' and ''The Rose''. Education and early career Kerby received a B.A. from Kent State University in 1962 and an M.F.A. from UCLA; where he was a Louis B. Mayer grant winner and teaching assistant, graduating in 1969. ''Deadhead Miles'' is a 1972 American road comedy film directed by Vernon Zimmerman from a script by Terrence Malick, and starring Alan Arkin, Bruce Bennett and Paul Benedict. Cannes ( , , ; oc, Canas) is a city located on the French Riviera. It is a commune located in the Alpes-Maritimes department, and host city of the annual Cannes Film Festival, Midem, and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
