Terminal City Ricochet
''Terminal City Ricochet'' is a 1990 List of dystopian films, dystopian Comedy film, comedy film directed by Zale Dalen. The name was taken from a hockey team called the Terminal City Ricochets. Starring Jello Biafra (of the Dead Kennedys), ''Terminal City Ricochet'' satirizes television and its collusion with government and consumerism. The film was shown at film festivals and on Pay television, pay cable TV. The DVD combo, which contains both the film and the CD soundtrack, has been made available through the Alternative Tentacles website. Plot A young man inadvertently witnesses a killing by his uncle, the corrupt mayor of Terminal City, who retaliates by dubbing him the "Rock and Roll Terrorist" and builds an anti-crime campaign around him. The Beatnigs
The Beatnigs were a San Francisco-based band active between 1986 and 1990, influenced by industrial music, hip hop and hardcore punk. Biography Michael Franti and Rono Tse met each other clubbing in San Francisco. In 1986, Franti and Tse formed the band with Kevin Carnes, Andre Flores and Henry Flood. Troy Dixon joined later as a touring member. In 1988, The Beatnigs released a self-titled studio album and a 12" EP of their most famous song, "Television". Both on the record label Alternative Tentacles. That same year they played their New York City debut at the New Music Seminar, and recorded for the BBC's '' Peel Sessions''.
