TERA (baseball Statistic)
tRA is a baseball statistic used to measure the performance of a pitcher. Similar to FIP, tRA uses a mathematical formula to isolate the pitcher from his defense. Thus, tRA is a defense-independent pitching statistic. Unlike FIP and dERA, however, tRA takes into account batted ball type (that is, line drives, fly balls, pop ups, and ground balls) as well as strikeouts, walks, and home runs. Theory and method tRA was developed by Graham MacAree. According to StatCorner, "The batter may strike out looking, strike out swinging, walk, be walked intentionally or be hit by a pitch. The hitter may also hit a line drive, a ground ball, an outfield fly, a popup, a bunt or a home run. These possibilities can be regarded as being governed by the pitcher, provided that there is a large enough sample size. tRA is built around knowing how many runs and outs each of these events are worth." tRA uses play-by-play data gathered from each MLB season in order to give each possible outcome between ... Topfree Equal Rights Association
In Canada, topfreedom has primarily been an attempt to combat the interpretation of Obscenity#Canada, indecency laws that considered a woman's breasts to be indecent, and therefore their exhibition in public an offence. In British Columbia, it is a historical issue dating back to the 1930s and the public protests against the materialistic lifestyle held by the radical religious sect of the Freedomites, whose pacifist beliefs led to their exodus from Russia to Canada at the end of the 19th century. The ''Svobodniki'' became famous for their public nudity: primarily for their nude marches in public and the acts of arson committed also in the nude. Law In Canada, the law on public decency is found in sections 173 and 174 of the Criminal Code (Canada), Criminal Code. However, what constitutes an indecent act is not defined and is open to interpretation by the courts. In 1991, Topfreedom, toplessness as an indecent act was challenged in Guelph, Ontario, by Gwen Jacob, who removed her ... RS Tera
The RS Tera is a one-man monohull dinghy in the RS Sailing range of sailing boats. It is recognised by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) as an international class, and is a popular boat for beginners and for children to race. Performance and design The RS Tera is suitable for introducing newcomers to the sport of sailing, but is also a good boat to race. The boat is highly robust, and it is built with a self draining cockpit and is easy to right after a capsize, in addition to which it has a floating daggerboard. The boat is fairly small and light, meaning it is possible to transport on a roof rack, and that it is manageable on the water by younger children. The mast comes in two pieces, and the boom is padded. Furthermore, the RS Tera can be rowed and has oarlocks. Built with a Comptec PE3 hull, the RS Tera has been described to have a modern look. Features and Specification The RS Tera is available in 3 specifications: RS Tera Mini, RS Tera Sport and RS Tera Pro. ... The story is a first-person narrative of a young man pulled into an archaeologist's plot to revive Queen Tera, an ancient Egyptian mummy. It explores common ''fin de siècle'' themes such as imperialism, the rise of the New Woman and feminism, and societal progress. Prepublication issues toward a US edition were deposited for copyright by Doubleday, Page & Company in December 1902 and January 1903 but the first US edition was published by Harper & Brothers in 1904. TERA Rifle
The TERA rifles () were special Japanese takedown rifles developed for paratroopers of the Imperial Japanese Army and Imperial Japanese Navy. All designs were capable of either being broken down or folded into two parts and easily assembled or disassembled. The Type 2 TERA rifle was officially adopted in 1943 by the IJA and saw use during the Battle of Leyte, but by the time it entered production, significant paratrooper operations had largely ceased. History and development Before the Pacific War, Japanese paratroopers only carried a Type 94 pistol and three hand grenades when jumping off their planes. The length of the Type 38 and Type 99 rifles made them impractical to be carried during deployment, so they were separately dropped in containers with their ammunition. The paratroopers often had difficulty locating and retrieving their rifles, forcing them to attack with only pistols, grenades, and whatever enemy weapons they could capture. Development of dedicated paratroop ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Metric Prefix
A metric prefix is a unit prefix that precedes a basic unit of measure to indicate a multiple or submultiple of the unit. All metric prefixes used today are decadic. Each prefix has a unique symbol that is prepended to any unit symbol. The prefix '' kilo'', for example, may be added to ''gram'' to indicate ''multiplication'' by one thousand: one kilogram is equal to one thousand grams. The prefix '' milli'', likewise, may be added to ''metre'' to indicate ''division'' by one thousand; one millimetre is equal to one thousandth of a metre. Decimal multiplicative prefixes have been a feature of all forms of the metric system, with six of these dating back to the system's introduction in the 1790s. Metric prefixes have also been used with some non-metric units. The SI prefixes are metric prefixes that were standardised for use in the International System of Units (SI) by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in resolutions dating from 1960 to 2022.
