Teoman (wrestler)
Metehan Kocabaşoğlu (born 4 March 1993) is a German professional wrestler of Turkish descent, currently performing for German Wrestling Federation (GWF) under his first name (stylized as Metahan), where he is the reigning GWF World Champion in his second reign, and is a former four-time GWF Tag Team Champion. He is best known for his tenure in WWE, where he performed on the NXT UK brand under the ring name Teoman as well as his time at Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) where he won the prestigeous 16 Carat Gold Tournament in 2019. He also competed in the PWG Battle of Los Angeles. He worked with wXw under the ring name Lucky Kid and under his birth name Metehan. In professional wrestling, kayfabe (pronounced ) is the portrayal of staged events within the industry as "real" or "true", specifically competition, rivalries, and relationships between participants. The term has evolved to become a code word of sorts for maintaining this "reality" within the direct or indirect presence of the general public. In the United States, kayfabe is often seen as the suspension of disbelief that is used to create the non-wrestling aspects of promotions, such as feuds, angles, and gimmicks in a manner similar to other forms of fictional entertainment. In relative terms, a wrestler breaking kayfabe would be likened to an actor breaking character on-camera.
