Teo Mammucari (born Teodoro Mammucari; 12 August 1964) is an Italian television presenter, actor and singer. Biography In 1994 he started working as an actor for ''Scherzi a parte'' and then as host of ''Seven Show'' on broadcaster Europa 7. In 1999 he appeared in '' Le Iene'' (The Hyenas), a television program broadcast on the Italian channel Italia 1. He had great success in 2000 when he hosted ', broadcast on Rai 2. The program, based on prank phone calls, was anchored by Mammucari for four editions. In the summer of 2002 and 2004 he hosted the television program ''Veline'', aimed at the girls who will take part in the program ''Striscia la notizia''. In the summer of 2003 he hosted ''Velone'', a variety show in which the aspiring competitors have the characteristic of being old. ''Distraction'' is a game show that aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom from 31 October 2003 to 11 June 2004. Presented by comedian Jimmy Carr, the show involved contestants answering questions while being distracted in various bizarre, painful and humiliating ways. Carr was aided by "distractors", who as the name suggests, attempted to distract the contestants painfully or emotionally. Examples include losing contestants, nudists, creepy carny guys, tattoo/ piercing experts, wrestlers, midgets, Roller Derby girls, professional athletes, paintball players, and a large bouncer-type male nicknamed "Tiny". Occasionally, a number of female assistants helped with some of the distractions; depending on the stunt being played, they could be referred to as "Jimmy's interns", "farmer girls", "schoolgirls" or "ammo ladies." History 1960s In 1962, drummer Valerio Negrini and guitarist Mauro Bertoli in Bologna established the band Jaguar (band), Jaguars, the nucleus of the group that would later become Pooh. Carlo Vanzina (13 March 1951 – 8 July 2018) was an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter. Vanzina was born in Rome, the son of Maria Teresa Nati and film director Stefano Vanzina and brother of Enrico Vanzina. Many of his projects were made for Italian television with English-speaking actors, and in turn these films received English-language home video releases in America.
