Tenpenny Joke were an Australian rock band, formed in 1997. They signed to Shock Records/Sing Sing Productions in 2004, and released their debut album, ''Ambush on all Sides'', in 2005, which was produced by Matt Voigt (The Living End, Kiss, Aaliyah). It was then released internationally by Promoting the Bands. History Tenpenny Joke were formed on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula in 1997. They issued their debut studio album, ''Ambush on all Sides'', in September 2005 via Shock Records. It was recorded at Sing Sing Studios, Richmond during two sessions: one in November 2004 and the other in April 2005. By the time the album appeared the line-up was Craig "Boz" Boswell on drums, Anthony Casey on vocals, Peter Coon on guitars, Tim Kill on bass guitar and Brian Rimmer on vocals and guitar. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Kisschasy
Kisschasy are an Australian rock band that formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 2002. Their line-up consists of lead vocalist Darren Cordeux, bassist Joel Vanderuit, guitarist Sean Thomas and drummer Karl Ammitzboll. The band released two gold certified studio albums, two extended plays, a documentary DVD and a compilation album in their initial 10-year career, selling in excess of 90,000 records. 3RRR (pronounced "Three Triple R", or simply "Triple R") is an Australian community radio station, based in Melbourne. 3RRR first commenced broadcasting in 1976 from the studios of 3ST, the student radio station of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (now RMIT University), on an educational licence with the name 3RMT. In 1979 it relocated to Fitzroy, and adopted its present name. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, it became synonymous with the post punk and new wave subcultures. Rosie Beaton is an Australian radio announcer, best known for her work at Australian youth radio station Triple J. Radio career In 2001, Beaton was appointed host of Triple J's evening music program ''Super Request'' which aired weekdays at 6pm. Earlier, Beaton co-hosted the ''Net 50'' program with Justin Wilcomes on its debut in 1999. Bells Beach
Bells Beach is a coastal locality of Victoria, Australia in Surf Coast Shire and a renowned surf beach, located 100 km south-west of Melbourne, on the Great Ocean Road near the towns of Torquay and Jan Juc. It is named after William Bell, a Master Mariner, who owned much of the property there from the 1840s. Many records wrongly accredit the location's name to John Calvert Bell of the family that took up a pastoral run there much later in 1905 and built the 'Addiscot' homestead. John Calvert Bell was, before that time, a resident at Calder Park, Mount Duneed, and not related to William Bell of Bells Beach. Mandy Kane is a singer, songwriter, producer and remixer. He is best known for his single "Stab" which peaked at number 18 on the ARIA charts in 2004. Career 1990s–2002: Early years Mandy Kane started playing in high school rock bands and worked in part-time jobs to save money to buy a 4-track recorder.
