Tenmile Peak is a mountain summit in Summit County, Colorado, Summit County, Colorado, United States. Description Tenmile Peak is set west of the Continental Divide in the Tenmile Range which is a subrange of the Rocky Mountains. The mountain is located southwest of the community of Frisco, Colorado, Frisco and is set on land managed by Arapaho National Forest. The Continental Divide Trail traverses the east slope of the peak and Interstate 70 in Colorado, Interstate 70 runs along the western base of the peak. Precipitation runoff from the mountain's west slope drains into Tenmile Creek (Colorado), Tenmile Creek and the east slope drains to Miners Creek, which both empty into Dillon Reservoir. Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises above Tenmile Creek in one mile (1.6 km). Tenmile Creek (Colorado)
Tenmile Creek (also called Ten Mile Creek) is a stream in Summit County, Colorado. It rises above the Copper Mountain Ski Resort and follows alongside Interstate 70 for several miles before emptying into Dillon Reservoir. The creek — along with a paved trail that follows alongside it — is easily visible from Interstate 70 between Frisco and the Copper Mountain Ski Area. The Town of Breckenridge is the home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Summit County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 5,078 at the 2020 United States Census. Breckenridge is the principal town of the Breckenridge, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area.
