''Tendon'' is the first studio album by the Cameroonian artist Reniss. Released by New Bell Music on 24 October 2016, ''Tendon'' is a ten-song album, featuring Reniss' hit song "La Sauce." The album was produced by Jovi under his pseudonym "Le Monstre." "Michael Jackson", "La Sauce", and "Pilon" were released as singles for the album. Reniss sings in multiple languages on the album, including English, French, Pidgin, and Ngeumba. Critical reception The popularity of the single and video "La Sauce" and the album ''Tendon'' earned her multiple nominations for awards, including winning the 2017 "Best Central African Artist" at the Kunde Awards (Burkina Faso) and the 2017 "Best Female Urban Artist" at the Canal d'Or Awards (Cameroon). Reniss Chante Les Classiques
Kien Rennise Nde (born April 24, 1988 in Mankon), known by her stage name Reniss, is a Cameroonian singer and songwriter. Reniss sings in English, French, Pidgin, and Ngeumba. Reniss became well-known in the African music scene after releasing her music video "La Sauce" on May 6, 2016. Career Reniss grew up in the neighbourhood of Mabanda, in Douala, Cameroon. Reniss was actively involved in church choirs at New Covenant and Presbyterian Church in Douala, and began singing at the age of 13. After traveling and performing in church events for many years, Reniss began working with Cameroonian producer and artist, Jovi. Reniss released her first singles, "Fire" and "Holy Wata" in 2011 and 2012, respectively, under Mumak record label. She continued to work with Jovi, featuring on his debut album, H.I.V, in 2012. Ndukong Godlove Nfor (born 24 October 1983), known by his stage name Jovi, is a Cameroonian rapper, songwriter, sound engineer, entrepreneur, and record producer (under his producer pseudonym Le Monstre). Jovi graduated from the University of Yaoundé II (Soa), with a BA Hons in Economics and Business Management. ''Afropop Worldwide'' is a radio program that presents the musics of Africa and the African diaspora. The program is produced by Sean Barlow for World Music Productions in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. It is hosted by the veteran Cameroonian broadcaster Georges Collinet, who previously attained renown for his work with Voice of America. ''Afropop Worldwide'' launched in 1988 as ''Afropop'', a weekly public radio series, in response to widespread interest in international pop music. ''Bakwa'' is an online and print literary magazine based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as digital distribution. Albums of recorded sound were developed in the early 20th century as individual 78 rpm records collected in a bound book resembling a photograph album; this format evolved after 1948 into single vinyl long-playing (LP) records played at rpm.
