Tender (Feeder Song)
"Shatter" is a song by the British rock band Feeder. "Shatter" was first released as B-side to "Tumble and Fall" and as a bonus to the Japanese edition of ''Pushing the Senses''; it has since been included on the band's compilation album ''The Singles''. Released on 10 October 2005, the single was backed by "Tender" from the fifth studio album ''Pushing the Senses'', the combination reaching number 11 in the UK Singles Chart, and number one in the Independent Singles Chart; their third number one of the year on that chart. On the physical singles chart, which excludes downloads (at the time downloads didn’t make much of an impact in comparison to later years), the single made No.8, making it their fourth top 10 single on that chart and second top 10 of the year. Feeder (band)
Feeder are a Welsh rock music, rock band formed in 1994. Scoring 20 UK top 40 singles and 13 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning three decades. Feeder are one of the longest-surviving bands to have originated in the UK Britpop scene. At the peak of their commercial success, they won two Kerrang! Awards in 2001 and 2003 and were inducted into their Hall of Fame in August 2019. Although the band formed in 1994,Jon Lee tribute night at T. ''The Singles'' is Feeder's second UK compilation album, following the limited release b-sides album '' Picture of Perfect Youth''. The album has 18 of their UK top 40 hit single tracks (if "Shatter" and "Tender" are separately counted), with the exception of "Day In Day Out" and "Find The Colour", and includes the limited edition Arena Tour single "Comfort In Sound" and three new tracks, "Lost And Found", "Burn The Bridges" and "Save Us". "Lost and Found" and "Save Us" were released as singles to promote the compilation shortly before and after its release, charting at #12 and #34 in the UK respectively, while "Shatter" was released to promote the compilation, shortly after the band announced its release plans in October 2005. "Burn The Bridges" is the only song on the compilation which was not released as a single. "Everybody Hurts" is a song by American rock band R.E.M. from their eighth studio album, '' Automatic for the People'' (1992), and released as a single in April 1993 by Warner Bros. Records. It was written by the band and produced by them with Scott Litt. Hi-hat
A hi-hat (hihat, high-hat, etc.) is a combination of two cymbals and a pedal, all mounted on a metal stand. It is a part of the standard drum kit used by drummers in many styles of music including rock music, rock, popular music, pop, jazz, and blues. Hi-hats consist of a matching pair of small to medium-sized cymbals mounted on a stand, with the two cymbals facing each other. The bottom cymbal is fixed and the top is mounted on a rod which moves the top cymbal toward the bottom one when the pedal is depressed (a hi-hat that is in this position is said to be "closed" or "closed hi-hats"). The hi-hat evolved from a "sock cymbal", a pair of similar cymbals mounted at ground level on a hinged, spring-loaded foot apparatus. "Tumble and Fall" is a single released from Welsh rock band Feeder's fifth studio album, ''Pushing the Senses'' (2005). It reached number five on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the group's highest-placing single along with "Buck Rogers". It is also their highest-charting song in Ireland, where it reached number 26 to become Feeder's only top-30 hit.
