Ten Outstanding Red Cross Youth
The Search for the Ten Outstanding Red Cross Youth of the Philippines is an annual search for exceptional Red Cross Youth volunteers who have rendered unselfish service of excellence to the Philippine Red Cross. It aims to recognize the volunteers for their invaluable support and contribution to the PRC through the Red Cross Youth (Philippines), Red Cross Youth. History Launched in 2003, the first batch was awarded with a simple but meaningful ceremony on October 31 at the National Headquarters in Manila. Philippine Red Cross
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC; fil, Krus na Pula ng Pilipinas) is a non-profit humanitarian organization and a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The PRC was established in 1947, with roots in the Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonial rule. It was initially involved only in the provision of blood and short-term palliatives as well as participation in disaster-related activities but they now focus on a wider array of humanitarian services. At present, the PRC provides six major services: National Blood Services, Disaster Management Services, Safety Services, Health Services, Welfare Services and Red Cross Youth.
