''Ten Out of 10'' is the eighth studio album by 10cc. It was released in two different versions, with the original edition coming in November 1981 and the US version coming in June 1982 respectively. Overview After two albums from 10cc as a six-piece lineup, ''Ten Out of 10'' was a return to the core duo of Graham Gouldman and Eric Stewart. All other contributors were session musicians; these included two who had played on the band's previous album, 1980s '' Look Hear?'': drummer Paul Burgess, who played on all but three tracks, and guitarist and singer Rick Fenn, who was credited on two tracks but who actually played on all other tracks, though uncredited. Another session musician was pianist Vic Emerson of Sad Café, who also joined the band on tour. The album credits identified Gouldman and Stewart as "Graham" and "Eric", as on previous albums, with other musicians credited with their full names. 10cc are an English rock music, rock band formed in Stockport, southeast of Manchester, in 1972. The group initially consisted of four musicians, Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme, who had written and recorded together since 1968. The four members contributed to songwriting, working together in various permutations. Godley and Creme’s songwriting has been said to be inspired by Art pop, art and cinema. The four members were multi-instrumentalists, singers, writers and producers. Most of the band's records were recorded at their own Strawberry Studios (North) in Stockport and Strawberry Studios (South) in Dorking, with most of those engineered by Stewart. "Dreadlock Holiday" is a reggae song by 10cc. Written by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman, it was the lead single from the band's 1978 album, ''Bloody Tourists''. It was a number one hit in several countries. Composition The song was based on real events Eric Stewart and Moody Blues vocalist Justin Hayward experienced in Barbados, and Graham Gouldman experienced in Jamaica. Graham Gouldman commented: "Some of the experiences that are mentioned are true, and some of them are ... fairly true!" ''Pleasant Dreams'' is the sixth studio album by the American punk rock band Ramones, released on July 20, 1981, through Sire Records. While the band members wanted Steve Lillywhite to produce, Sire chose Graham Gouldman in an attempt to gain popularity through a well-known producer. The recording process brought about many conflicts between band members, most notably the strife between Joey Ramone and Johnny Ramone, due to Johnny starting a relationship with Joey's girlfriend. There were also disputes about the overall direction of the album, with Johnny leaning towards hard rock and Joey towards pop punk. The Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band formed in the New York City neighborhood Forest Hills, Queens in 1974.
