''Temptation Come My Way'' is The Showdown's second album. It features a more focused sound than their previous album, which was a fusion of various heavy metal genres. The sound of ''Temptation Come My Way'' is southern rock combined with more traditional heavy metal. It is also the last album to feature Andrew Hall, before being replaced by former Still Remains drummer AJ Barrette. The Showdown is an American Christian metal band from Elizabethton, Tennessee. While the members of the band are Christian and the band is signed to a Christian record label, the band does not consider itself a Christian act, according to guitarist Josh Childers, while in an interview with Vocalist David Bunton, when asked about a Christian Metal band, answered without correcting the interviewer. Lyrically, their writing tells of heroism, sojourns and battles of life, most of which is influenced by Biblical aspects. As of 2008, they are signed to Solid State Records. The band supposedly formed in 2004 as "The Showdown" but was originally called "2540" from 1999 to 2004. Still Remains
Still Remains is an American metalcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They formed out of previous local bands Shades of Amber and Unition. They released three studio albums, '' Of Love and Lunacy'', '' The Serpent'' and '' Ceasing to Breathe'', both to positive reviews, and had minor UK chart success with the single "Dancing with the Enemy". They disbanded in mid-2008, but reunited for one final show in March 2011. In May the band announced that the reunion would be permanent. History In October 2003, Still Remains recorded their EP, ''Dying with a Smile''. These are songs that the band had been playing since the fall of 2001. From the beginning, Still Remains were playing at local venues (such as Grand Rapids' Skelletones) to build a name for themselves.
