Temposhark
Temposhark was an English electronic rock band, formed in London and Brighton by singer-songwriter Robert Diament and one-time music producer Luke Busby. Temposhark were best known for their songs "Bye Bye Baby", "Joy", "It's Better To Have Loved" and "Not That Big", a duet with singer Imogen Heap which appeared on their 2008 debut album, ''The Invisible Line''. Their second album, '' Threads'', was released in 2010 and reached the top 15 on the iTunes UK electronic albums chart. Other notable artist collaborations include Guy Sigsworth, Sean McGhee, Youth from Killing Joke, Kate Havnevik, Melnyk, Camille, MaJiKer, Morgan Page, Avril and the virtuoso violinist Sophie Solomon. Temposhark's music has been featured in numerous television programmes, including the US advertising campaign for British TV series ''Downton Abbey'' in 2011. The Invisible Line
The Invisible Line is the debut album by UK band, Temposhark. Recording Temposhark's debut album was produced and recorded in London by rising producer Sean McGhee with two tracks produced by Frou Frou member Guy Sigsworth, who contributes ''It's Better To Have Loved'' and ''Winter's Coming''. The recording process ran from August 2006 until February 2007. The album will include many brand new songs alongside some tracks from their rare early EPs, but all the album tracks have been re-produced by McGhee and in some cases re-written with never-before-heard additional sections. The album includes a duet with Imogen Heap called ''Not That Big''. Whilst virtuoso violinist Sophie Solomon appears on tracks ''Blame'' and ''Battleships''. It was released in March 2008 on CD and digital download in the USA/Canada and later in the whole of Europe including UK, Germany and France. ''Threads'' is the second album by UK band, Temposhark, a project of singer/songwriter Robert Diament. History Temposhark's second album was produced, co-written and recorded in 2009 in London by producer Sean McGhee. The first single "The World Does Not Revolve Around You" was released in September 2009. The album includes 11 brand new songs with two bonus dance remixes of the title track by Morgan Page and MaJiKer. ''Threads'' was released on 5 April 2010 as a digital download and reached #15 in the iTunes Top 20 electronic albums in the UK. The digital version of the album includes 2 bonus remixes and downloadable artwork in PDF form. Jeff Melnyk
Melnyk is a Canadian electronic music producer who lives and works in London, England. Career Jeff Melnyk co-runs the independent record label Gaymonkey Records. His debut album ''Silence'' received worldwide critical acclaim, and fans such as the Pet Shop Boys approached Melnyk as a result to remix their hit single ''I'm With Stupid''. Melnyk has also collaborated extensively with UK pop band Temposhark. Melnyk has remixed a number of songs for Temposhark including their cult hit ''Joy''. In June 2007, Melnyk released a remix album called ''Silence Remixed,'' which featured a Temposhark remix of Melnyk's song ''Me and My Muse'' featuring the additional vocals of lead singer ''Robert Diament''. Sophie Solomon
Sophie Solomon (born 6 June 1978) is a British violinist, songwriter and composer who fuses many different musical influences into her music. She was artistic director of the Jewish Music Institute, SOAS (University of London) from 2012 to 2015. Early life Solomon began playing the violin at the age of two. At four she met Yehudi Menuhin and was taken to see the great cellist Mstislav Rostropovich. For the first five years she played totally by ear, learning to read music at the age of seven. Even though the National Children's Orchestra and Pro Corda heralded her as one of the most promising violinists of her generation, Solomon "was never completely satisfied by the classical world alone, I felt constrained by the fact that the music was written down and the strict parameters of the repertoire. Imogen Heap
Imogen Jennifer Jane Heap ( ; born 9 December 1977) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. She is considered a pioneer in pop music, particularly electropop, and in music technology. While attending the BRIT School, Heap signed to independent record label Almo Sounds and later released her debut album '' I Megaphone'' (1998). It sold poorly and she was soon left without a record deal. In 2000, she and English record producer Guy Sigsworth formed the electronic duo Frou Frou, in which she was the vocalist, and released their only album to date, '' Details'' (2002). Allan Arthur Guy Sigsworth (born May 1960) is an English record producer and songwriter. He has worked with many artists, including Seal, Björk, Goldie, Madonna, Britney Spears, Kate Havnevik, Imogen Heap, Bebel Gilberto, Mozez, David Sylvian, Alanis Morissette, Eric Whitacre, Alison Moyet, and Aurora. Matthew Ker, known by his stage name MaJiKer, is a British songwriter-producer and performer. He resides in London and works internationally, having lived for many years in Paris, France. Fred Avril Magnon is a French composer based in Montmartre, Paris. As a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he won international praise for two albums that showed a strong link with cinema.
