''Temporary'' is the third studio album by Everything Is Recorded, a project of British record producer Richard Russell. It was released on 28 February 2025 through his record label XL Recordings. It peaked at number 67 on the UK Album Downloads Chart. It received generally favorable reviews from critics. Background The album features guest appearances from Sampha, Laura Groves, Rickey Washington, Alabaster DePlume, Noah Cyrus, Bill Callahan, Florence Welch, Maddy Prior, Jah Wobble, Yazz Ahmed, Berwyn, Roses Gabor, Jack Peñate, Samantha Morton, Mary in the Junkyard, Kamasi Washington, and Nourished by Time. Richard Russell (record Producer)
Richard Russell (born 18 March 1971) is an English record producer and the owner of British record label XL Recordings. Career XL Recordings was founded in 1989 by Tim Palmer and Nick Halkes to release dance music. Richard Russell joined XL as an A & R scout in 1991. In 1992, Russell released a single titled " The Bouncer" as part of a duo named Kicks Like a Mule. ''The Guardian'' described the song as rave music that was "knocked into shape in about five hours" which "crossed over from pirate radio to reach number seven in the charts." Russell appeared on ''Top of the Pops'' and was initially signed to London Records for an album but was dropped from London before its completion. By 2007, Russell was a chairman and half owner of the record label XL Recordings, which had released albums by groups such as the White Stripes, Dizzee Rascal, Thom Yorke and MIA. Madame Edna Gallmon Cooke (November 30, 1917 – September 4, 1967) was an American gospel singer and recording artist from 1949 until her death in 1967. Shawn Smith (1965/1966 – April 3, 2019) was an American singer, songwriter and musician. He was a member of the Seattle-based alternative and indie rock bands Brad, Satchel, Pigeonhed, and The Twilight Singers, and also performed as a solo artist.
