Andrew Tembo
Andrew Tembo (born 19 August 1971) is a former Zambian football midfielder. Tembo previously played 284 matches and scored 15 goals for Odense BK, having joined them in the summer of 1997. Prior to that he played for Zamsure FC. He also had a one-season spell at Olympique Marseille. Tembo earned 35 caps for the Zambia national team. As a young player in April 1993 he almost boarded the fateful flight which killed the entire Zambia squad, however he was asked not to board the flight at the last minute. In 2012, he was selected to Odense BKs all-time top-11 "De største striber" (The greatest "stripes") by OBs fans. Martha Tembo (born 8 March 1998) is a Zambian women's football defender for Hakkarigücü in the Turkish Super League, and the Zambia women's national team. Club career In September 2024, Tembo moved to Turkey and signed with Hakkarigücü to play in the Super League. Bahia de Tembo is a beach on a secluded bay on the Pacific coast in Oaxaca, Mexico (). It can be accessed via an unsurfaced road that exits highway 200 roughly 5 km south of the San Pedro Pochutla junction. There are currently no facilities or full-time residents at Bahia de Tembo, but fishermen from Pochutla and nearby Puerto Ángel can occasionally be found fishing for sardines and agujon at the surfline. Vera Tembo (born July 25, 1953) is a Zambian politician and member of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD). She served as the First Lady of Zambia from 1991 until her separation from her former husband, President Frederick Chiluba, in 2001. In 2006, she made her political comeback by being elected to the National Assembly of Zambia from Kasenengwa constituency. Biography Tembo was married to Frederick Chiluba, with whom she had nine children, for thirty-three years, until he announced their separation in 2000. Chiluba became President of Zambia in 1991, making Tembo the country's First Lady from 1991 until their divorce.
