Tell Tale Harbour
Tell Tale Harbour is a Musical theatre, musical comedy with music and lyrics by Alan Doyle and Bob Foster, and a book by Doyle, Adam Brazier, and Edward Riche , Ed Riche. It is based on the 2013 Canadian comedy film ''The Grand Seduction'' by Ken Scott (filmmaker) , Ken Scott and Michael Dowse. The musical, like the film, follows a small town who work together to try to convince a visiting doctor to make their beloved harbour village his new home. Premise The musical is set in the fictional town of Tell Tale Harbour, a small harbour community in Atlantic Canada. The community is struggling until a frozen French fries , french fry facility is about to open up there, if the residents can manage to hire a full-time resident doctor. Led by the mischievous Frank, the residents of Tell Tale Harbour try to work together to lie, cheat, and con a visiting doctor to live and practice in their community. Alan Doyle
Alan Thomas Doyle (born May 17, 1969) is a Canadian musician and founding member of the Canadian folk rock band Great Big Sea. Life and career Alan Doyle was born and raised in Petty Harbour–Maddox Cove, Petty Harbour, Newfoundland, in a Roman Catholic family. He attended Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John's, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. It is also there that he met Séan McCann, Bob Hallett and Darrell Power with whom he formed Great Big Sea. He primarily plays electric and acoustic guitars, and the bouzouki for live performances, but he has been known to play mandolin and banjo. He is married to Joanne; they have one son. Doyle has also been involved with a handful of stage, television and film productions.
