''Tell No Tales'' is the third studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT. It was the best-selling TNT album in the U.S., according to their bass guitarist Morty Black. This album diverted from the power metal style of ''Knights of the New Thunder'' into a more glam metal direction. Rock Candy Records reissused a remastered CD of the album in February 2022. Rock Candy Records is an independent record label based in the United Kingdom. Founded by ex-''Kerrang!'' writers Derek Oliver and Dante Bonutto in 2005, the label primarily specializes in CD reissues of rock and heavy metal albums from the 1970s and 1980s. In 2017, Oliver co-founded a magazine affiliate of the label under the same name with Howard Johnson and Malcolm Dome. The label takes its name from the Montrose song of the same name. Mark Weiss is an American rock music photographer. His most widely recognized photographs capture the look and aesthetic of music and celebrity personalities of the 1980s. His work with publications such as ''Circus'' magazine and ''FACES'' helped establish Mark "Weissguy" Weiss as a name known for rock photography. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, based on sales data from IFPI Sverige. It was formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and has been known by its current name since October 2007. Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. Carl Haakon Waadeland
Carl Haakon Waadeland (born 8 November 1952) is a Norwegian musicologist and jazz drummer, known from several bands and releases such as with Dadafon, Dum Dum Boys, Åge & Sambandet, Halvdan Sivertsen, Warne Marsh, Kenny Wheeler, Annbjørg Lien, Henning Sommerro, Bjørn Alterhaug, John Pål Inderberg, Knutsen & Ludvigsen, Mikis Theodorakis and Arja Saijonmaa. He was one of the driving forces behind the jazz program at NTNU which he also directed. Career Waadeland holds a master's degree in mathematics and PhD in music theory from the NTNU, where he concentrates on rhythm, swing, music performance (performologi), rhythm and movement, as a professor of Music. Diesel Dahl
Morten "Diesel" Dahl (born 19 June 1959) is a Norwegian musician. He is the drummer and a founding member of the hard rock band TNT. He started playing the drums at the age of 15, and played in bands like Burn, Edge and Hotlips before he formed TNT together with vocalist Dag Ingebrigtsen in 1982. Dahl played on the first three TNT albums and co-wrote their biggest hit, " 10,000 Lovers (In One)", before he parted ways with the band in the fall of 1987. The following year he formed the band TinDrum, who got a national number 1 hit with "Drums of War". In the early 1990s Dahl joined the local Hells Angels motorcycle club in Trondheim and became their spokesperson. Throughout the 1990s he played in various bands, such as Diesel Dahl & Friends and Diezel, before he officially reunited with TNT in 2000. He left Hells Angels in 2005. 10,000 Lovers (In One)
''"10,000 Lovers (In One)"'' is a hit single by the Norwegian band TNT, taken from their 1987 album, '' Tell No Tales''. It was written about a girl who TNT's vocalist at that time, Tony Harnell, knew. The single reached the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in America, peaking at number 100 and earned the band a Spellemannprisen. In 2006 TNT recorded a new version of the song together with the Norwegian rapper Vinni from the band Paperboys. This version included newly written and controversial rap lyrics, which fueled Harnell to make a statement. Vinni joined TNT for a couple of performances of the new version in concerts and on national TV shows. It was scheduled to be included on a compilation of Norwegian hits, but it was cancelled due to unknown problems. Music videos There are two different music videos for the song. Ronni Le Tekrø (born Rolf Ågrim Tekrø, 5 October 1963) is a Norwegian musician best known as the guitarist and one of the founders of hard rock band TNT, as a solo artist and for his work with Vagabond and Terje Rypdal. He has been described as "one of the foremost purveyors of melodic metal", with ''Guitar World'' ranking him as one of the ten best guitarists in the world in 1989 and one of 25 influential cult guitarists in 2009. Tony Harnell (born September 18, 1962) is an American singer, best known for his work with Norwegian hard rock band TNT. He is known for his wide vocal range, with his modal voice spanning over four octaves. Harnell has also been the frontman of Starbreaker and Skid Row. Power Metal
Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within a symphonic context.
