Telecom Arad
Vagonul Arad was a football club based in Arad, Romania. It was founded in 1911 and it soon became one of the best teams from Arad. It was affiliated to Astra Arad rail equipment manufacturing company. It was dissolved in 2006. History 1911–1948 The club was formed in Arad in 1911 when ''AMEF'' ''(Asociația Muncitorilor pentru Educație Fizică)'' () merged with ''Clubul Sportiv al Fabricii De Vagoane'' (Rail Cars Factory Sports Club), keeping the first ones name until 1948. After World War I it qualified for the national championship 3 times, but never being able to pass the semi-finals. During 1932-1940 we see the club playing in Liga I, their best performance - 2nd place at the end of the 1935-36 season. In 1940 AMEF is dissolved by the legionar regime, but after World War II, we see it for a couple of years in Liga II (1946–1948). 1948–1962 In 1948 it merges with ''Astra Arad'', the new club being named ''UVA-AMEFA'', and plays for one season in Liga III ...

Ștefan Onisie
Ștefan Onisie (23 November 1925 – 7 July 1984) was a Romanian footballer and manager. He was part of Steaua's Golden Team of the 1950s. International career Onisie played six games at international level for Romania, making his debut in 1953 when coach Gheorghe Popescu I send him on the field at half-time to replace Titus Ozon in a 2–1 away victory against Bulgaria at the 1954 World Cup qualifiers in which he also appeared in a 1–0 loss against Czechoslovakia. In 1956, Onisie made his last appearance for the national team in a friendly which ended with a 2–0 away loss against Bulgaria. Adrian Lucaci
Adrian Lucaci (28 June 1966 – 12 April 2020) was a Romanian footballer who played as a central defender. After he ended his playing career, he worked for a while as a manager at teams from the Arad County and president at clubs from the Romanian lower leagues. In 2019, Lucaci was rewarded by the local administration with the title of "excellence in sports" for outstanding sports activity and contribution to the development of football in the Arad County. Since 2014 until his death in 2020 he was president of the Arad County Football Association (AJF Arad). Helmut Duckadam
Helmut Duckadam (, sometimes spelled Helmuth; 1 April 1959 – 2 December 2024) was a Romanian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Duckadam was dubbed "the Hero of Seville" due to his performance in the 1986 European Cup final, won by his club Steaua București, where he saved all four penalties against Barcelona in the penalty shootout, for the first time in football history. He represented four other teams in a 12-year senior career. Club career Helmut Duckadam was born on 1 April 1959 in Semlac, Arad County, Romania, being of Banat Swabian ( German) descent, growing up being a fan of goalkeepers Gordon Banks, Luis Arconada and Stere Adamache. Ion Atodiresei
Ion Atodiresei (born 14 May 1952) is a Romanian former football forward. Club career Ion Atodiresei was born on 14 May 1952 in Arad, Romania, starting to play football at local club, Teba, moving in 1966 at neighboring club, UTA Arad. He made his Divizia A debut under coach Nicolae Dumitrescu on 4 May 1969 in a 2–1 away loss in front of Politehnica Iași, making one more appearance until the end of the season as the club won the title. In the following season, Dumitrescu used him in three games as UTA won another championship. In 1970 he went to play for one season at Divizia B club, Vagonul Arad. Afterwards he signed with FCM Reșița where he would spend the rest of his career, helping the club earn promotion to the first league from his first season. In the 1974–75 season, Atodiresei scored a personal record of seven goals.
