Tele (Band)
Tele is a German Rock/Pop- band from Freiburg (now Berlin). Band history Tele produced their debut album ''Tausend und ein Verdacht'' themselves in 2000 before being picked up by Tapete Records a couple years later. Their sound and style consisted of an Indie rock guitar sound, and they arranged their songs in a post rock way. The record company Tapete Records from Hamburg distributed their album in 2002 and published an EP with five new songs. Tapete Records published as well their second album ''Wovon sollen wir leben'' in 2004. This album contains mainly German pop songs with background stories in the texts. In the majority of cases the texts deal with the individual every day life, often with respect to their love affairs. Tele's music resembles that of the 1980s, but not necessarily in an intentional, retro-fashioned way. This is due to the use of keyboard-arrangements and synthesizer-wind instruments. Electric Upright Bass
The electric upright bass (EUB) is an instrument that can perform the musical function of a double bass. It requires only a minimal or 'skeleton' body to produce sound because it uses a pickup and electronic amplifier and loudspeaker. Therefore, a large resonating structure is not required to project the sound into the air. This minimal body greatly reduces the bulk and weight of the instrument. EUBs must always be connected to an amplifier and speaker cabinet to produce an adequate audible sound. The EUB retains enough of the features of the double bass so that double bass players are able to perform on it. Types There are two types: solid-body EUBs and hollowbody EUBs. Bundesvision Song Contest
The Bundesvision Song Contest (often shortened BSC or BuViSoCo) was a song competition held annually between the sixteen states of Germany. Created by German entertainer Stefan Raab and aired live on ProSieben, the show was loosely based on the Eurovision Song Contest, with slightly different rules aiming at promoting German-language music by requiring that at least 50% of each song's lyrics were performed in German. Judith Holofernes
Judith Holfelder-Roy (''née'' Holfelder-von der Tann; born 12 November 1976), known by her stage name Judith Holofernes, is a German singer, guitarist, songwriter and author. She was the lead singer of Wir sind Helden, the German pop rock band that released the song "Guten Tag" in 2002. The band received critical acclaim owing in part to Holofernes' lyrics, which are characterized by their playful use of words and use of social criticism. After recording four albums that were chart successes in the German-speaking world, Wir sind Helden went on indefinite hiatus in 2012. ''Soundso'' ( en, So and So) is the third studio album by the German band Wir sind Helden. The first glimpse of this album could be caught when the band released the single "Endlich ein Grund zur Panik", which had a video clip featuring the band in superhero costumes. Before the album was released on 25 May 2007, a radio station from Munich played the whole album without permission, therefore revealing that the album was available as an illegal download before its release. A wind instrument is a musical instrument that contains some type of resonator (usually a tube) in which a column of air is set into vibration by the player blowing into (or over) a mouthpiece set at or near the end of the resonator. The pitch of the vibration is determined by the length of the tube and by manual modifications of the effective length of the vibrating column of air. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
