Moritz Krämer
Moritz Krämer (born 1980 in Basel) is a Swiss indie singer songwriter from Basel who lives in Berlin. History Krämer was born in Switzerland and grew up in southern Bavaria. After graduating from high school in Freiburg, he moved to Berlin. He holds a degree in the subjects of video and language at the Berlin University of the Arts. Krämer worked in Berlin as a composer, lyricist and musical director at various theaters, including the popular stage, Hebbel am Ufer, and the Maxim Gorki Theater. In 2010, Krämer won the TV Noir rocket. Krämer released his debut EP on 1 August 2011, which contains acoustic songs, from earlier that year. In 2010 he played the opening act on the tour of The Young Gods His first album, "Wir Können Nix Dafur" was produced by Krämer, and released on 4 March 2011 through Tapete Records. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Krautrock
Krautrock (also called , German for ) is a broad genre of experimental rock that developed in West Germany in the late 1960s and early 1970s among artists who blended elements of psychedelic rock, avant-garde composition, and electronic music, among other eclectic sources. These artists incorporated hypnotic rhythms, extended improvisation, musique concrète techniques, and early synthesizers, while generally moving away from the rhythm & blues roots and song structure found in traditional Anglo-American rock music. Hebbel Am Ufer
The Hebbel am Ufer (HAU) is a theater and international performance center based in Berlin. It was founded by combining three theaters in Kreuzberg, Berlin: Hebbel Theater (now called HAU1), Theater am Halleschen Ufer (theater at Hallesches Ufer) (now called HAU2) and Theater am Ufer (now called HAU3). Annemie Vanackere has been its artistic director since 2012. The Young Gods
The Young Gods are a Swiss industrial rock band from Fribourg, formed in 1985. The original lineup of the band featured singer Franz Treichler, sampler player Cesare Pizzi and drummer Frank Bagnoud. For most of their history, the band maintained a trio format with a singer, a sampler player and a drummer, albeit with multiple line-up changes. Treichler is the band's sole consistent member; the current line-up also features Pizzi and drummer Bernard Trontin. During their career, the band have extensively collaborated with producer Roli Mosimann. The band's music is largely based on sampling and sound manipulation; the tracks are constructed from various samples, such as distorted guitar riffs and string sections.
