Telangana Praja Front
Telangana Praja Front (TPF) was a regional political movement in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It was formed as a Telangana separatist organisation, demanding statehood for the Telangana region that was then a part of Andhra Pradesh. TPF was launched on 9 October 2010 with Gaddar as president. He was specific in saying that it was not a political party but rather intended to be an umbrella body for uniting various action committees that had become somewhat moribund in the preceding months. He did not, however, rule out the possibility of contesting elections at some future time, although some TPF supporters, who were mostly students, said that they would withdraw if it did in fact become a party. The aim at foundation was to get a bill for a separate Telangana state introduced into parliament. Telangana (; , ) is a state in India situated on the south-central stretch of the Indian peninsula on the high Deccan Plateau. Andhra Pradesh (, abbr. AP) is a state in the south-eastern coastal region of India. Gaddar
Gummadi Vittal Rao (born 1949), popularly known as Gaddar, is an Indian poet, revolutionary balladeer, activist and a former naxalite. Gaddar was active in the Naxalite movement till 2010, and later joined the movement for Telangana's statehood. Early life Gaddar went underground in the 1980s and became a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) People's War. He was part of its cultural wing and performed in from of the crowds. He has a bullet in spine as a result of a failed assassination in 1997. After being active in the Naxal movement till 2010, Gaddar later identified himself as an Ambedkarite.
