Telangana Legislature
The Telangana Legislature is the state legislature of the Indian state of Telangana. It follows a Westminster-derived parliamentary system and is composed of an *Appointed Governor of Telangana *The indirectly-elected Telangana Shasana Mandali *The popularly-elected Telangana Shasana Sabha. The Legislature works at the transit building located in the state capital Hyderabad.The legislature derives its authority from the Indian constitution, with sole authority to make laws on 61 subjects specified in the state list and shares law-making power in 52 concurrent subjects with the Parliament of India. The state uses first-past-the-post method territorial constituencies for electing members to the lower house. The members of the upper house are indirectly-elected by special constituencies or nominated by the governor. The governor is head of the state authorized to the leader of the legislature. The Telangana Legislative Council or Telangana Śāsana Mandali is the upper house of the Telangana Legislature of the Indian state of Telangana; the lower house being the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly (ISO: ''Telangāṇa Śāsana Sabha'') is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through adult franchise. Each constituency elects one member of the assembly. Members are popularly known as M.L.A.s. The assembly is elected using the simple plurality or "first past the post" electoral system. The elections are conducted by the Election Commission of India. Asaf Jah VI, also known as Sir Mir Mahboob Ali Khan Siddiqi (17 August 1866 – 29 August 1911), was the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad. He ruled Hyderabad State, one of the princely states of India, between 1869 and 1911. Early life Mahboob Ali Khan was born on 17 August 1866 at Purani Haveli in Hyderabad, Hyderabad State (now in Telangana, India). He was the youngest son of the 5th Nizam, Afzal-ud-Daulah. Afzal-ud-Daulah died on 29 February, and a day later Mahboob Ali Khan ascended the throne, at the age of two years and seven months, under the regency of Dewan Salar Jung I with Shams-ul-Umra III as co-regent. Mahboob Ali Khan was the first Nizam to have a Western education. Jubilee Hall, Hyderabad
Jubilee Hall is a royal palace built in 1913 during the reign of Mir Osman Ali Khan of erstwhile Hyderabad state in India. It is considered one of the architectural masterpieces of Hyderabad. It is located in the green lawns of Public Gardens, which were earlier known as ''Bagh-e-Aam''. History In 1937, the silver jubilee coronation of the HEH Nizam VII was held here, hence the name.
