TeeVee (cartoonist)
TeeVee Indian is a political cartoonist who has worked primarily in the Telugu language. His real name is T. Venkatrao. Early years He was born in Eluru in West Godavari district on 2 February 1944. He learnt cartooning through a correspondence course offered by the Ray Burns School of Cartooning. After completing his college degree, he joined the Telugu daily Visalaandhra in 1961 as a cartoonist. Work His cartoons also appeared in newspapers like Andhra Prabha and ''Vaartha'', and magazines like ''Andhra Jyothi ''Andhra Jyothi'' () is the third largest circulated Telugu language daily newspaper of India sold mostly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Visalaandhra
''Visalaandhra'' is an Indian Telugu-language daily newspaper established on 22 June 1952 in Vijayawada. The state Communist party of India decided to rename then daily Prajasakti to Visalaandhra (A combination of two words ''Visala'' meaning large or vast and ''Andhra'' meaning the region of Andhra Pradesh) with the slogan of having a single state for the Telugu speaking people. This newspaper was phenomenal in naming the newly formed state as Andhra Pradesh. It played a key role in opposing both the 1969 Separate Telangana movement and 1972 Jai Andhra movement. As of 2015, it is being published from 7 centres. The daily also celebrated its diamond jubilee year in 2012. History ''Visalaandhra'' started as a first Telugu daily. ''Andhra Prabha'' - ''Journalism first'' is a Telugu language daily newspaper of India sold mostly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The newspaper is one of the oldest running Telugu-language daily newspapers of India. The newspaper and website (''www.prabhanews.com'') were owned by the New Indian Express Group of Companies but the newspaper was sold to entrepreneurs from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. ''Andhra Jyothi'' () is the third largest circulated Telugu language daily newspaper of India sold mostly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by K. L. N. Prasad, an Industrialist on 1 July 1960. It is also one of the oldest running Telugu language daily newspapers. It was taken over by Vemuri Radha Krishna, also known as R.
