Teddies
Ernst Heinrich "Teddy" Stauffer (2 May 1909 – 27 August 1991) was a Switzerland, Swiss bandleader, musician, actor, nightclub owner, and restaurateur. He was dubbed Germany, Germany's "Swing music, swing-king" of the 1930s. He formed the band known as the Teddies (also known as the Original Teddies or the International Teddies), which continued after he left in 1941. Life and career After founding his "Original Teddies" band in Bern, Stauffer enjoyed great success in Berlin, especially during the 1936 Olympic Games. Annual trips to St. Moritz and Arosa, and a guest appearance in London, enhanced the international reputation of the Teddies band. The band recorded for the Telefunken label and made successful recordings of Big Band standards such as "Goody Goody" and "Jeepers Creepers (song), Jeepers Creepers," often featuring Swiss vocalist Billy Toffel. "Goody Goody" is a 1936 popular music, popular song composed by Matty Malneck, with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. The first recording of the song was by Ted Wallace and His Swing Kings (vocal refrain by male trio) [Bluebird, B-6252-B, 1936]. Hedy Lamarr (; born Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler; November 9, 1914 January 19, 2000) was an Austrian-born American actress and inventor. After a brief early film career in Czechoslovakia, including the controversial erotic romantic drama '' Ecstasy'' (1933), she fled from her first husband, Friedrich Mandl, and secretly moved to Paris. Faith Marie Domergue (; June 16, 1924, or 1925 – April 4, 1999) was an American film and television actress. Discovered at age 16 by media and aircraft mogul Howard Hughes, she was signed to a contract with Hughes's RKO Radio Pictures and cast as the lead in the studio's thriller '' Vendetta'', which had a troubled four-year production before finally being released in 1950.
