The Hakka (), sometimes also referred to as Hakka-speaking Chinese, or Hakka Chinese, or Hakkas, are a southern Han Chinese subgroup whose principal settlements and ancestral homes are dispersed widely across the provinces of southern China and who speak a language that is closely related to Gan, a Han Chinese dialect spoken in Jiangxi province. Pha̍k-fa-sṳ
Pha̍k-fa-sṳ () is an orthography similar to Pe̍h-ōe-jī and used to write Hakka, a variety of Chinese. Hakka is a whole branch of Chinese, and Hakka dialects are not necessarily mutually intelligible with each other, considering the large geographical region. This article discusses a specific variety of Hakka. The orthography was invented by the Presbyterian church in the 19th century. The Hakka New Testament published in 1924 is written in this system. Astro Talent Quest
Astro Star Quest (Chinese: Astro新秀大賽), also formerly known as Astro Talent Quest is an annual Chinese singing competition in Malaysia organized by ASTRO Wah Lai Toi, which was first held in 1997. The first winner in 1997 was 刘燕燕 Crystal and the most current winner in 2016 is 黄雯俐 Wengdyy. In 2017, it was replaced by the Singapore-Malaysia version of 決戰好聲 The Voice and has since been discontinued and entered history.
